Message :I have a quick question to involving the parts listed in the title. I have been tracking down low-end power issues and have found out that my stock cam gears were welded when I had my JWT HD Springs installed during the rebuild. This effectively disabled VTC for my Z.
:Now I am in the process of restoring VTC control due to the loss in performance without it.
:I have currently the stock welded cam gears, JWT HD valve springs, and stock 300zx TT cams. Can I simply change the cam gears to some BDE ones (90-93 version) and regain the use of VTC?

Yes

Assume that all of my VTC parts are still installed on the car (as I am pretty sure they are).

:Does anyone have a setup like this? Stock cams, BDE gears, and JWT valve springs? If you do, any issues?'

You won't have any issues with that setup

:Lastly anyone got some spare BDE's they wanna hook me up cheap with? Since my stockers were welded I am assuming there is little or no value in them, and almost certainly wont qualify for a core charge submission.

I have a used set of 90-93 BDE gears that I could let go for cheap. I was one of the beta testers of the BDE gears. My original beta set has been updated with the latest springs and should be good to go. I'll send you an email later today with pics...
